Yeh, let us totally discredit the thousands of PoC who chose a vegan lifestyle. What better way to prove your point on privilege than to completely deny vegan PoC exist?

You carnists have the privilege of ignorance.

How about instead of making up facts and figures on the cost of fruit and these mythical non-privilaged people who can afford to buy breaded chicken but not rice, you try asking a vegan how much they spend on shopping? How about instead of making assumptions that we are all upper class cliches who buy all our food from the luxury range, you ask us our financial situations?

Pretty much every vegan I know is either unemployed or living on minimum wage. And I gotta say it fucks me off how you poor non-privilaged carnists accuse me of not realising my privilege, whilst you sit their on your laptops eating your pizzas and breaded meats.

No, don’t ask us our salaries, or how much we spend on groceries. That’s rude as shit; there’s no reason to play the “who’s less privileged” game when there’s so much information on how to eat vegan cheap, and why vegan is cheap.

Vegan “Blizzard”
Cookie Dough Balls
Yield: 1 cup packed cookie dough
1/2 cup unsalted cashews
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour (other flours may work)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1.5 tbsp natural cane sugar
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3-4 tbsp pure maple syrup (or a bit more if dough is too dry)
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions: In a food processor, add the cashews and oats and process until it forms a fine crumble. Now add in the salt, sugar, and flour and process for a few seconds more. Add in the maple syrup and vanilla and process until combined. It will be sticky, but this is normal! Add in your chocolate chips and stir by hand or process. Form into balls. Store in freezer.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough “Blizzard”
Yield: 2 servings
3 peeled and frozen bananas, cut into 1 inch chunks for easier processing
Splash of non-dairy milk (if needed)
2 tbsp cookie dough (from above)
Directions: In a large food processor, add in your 3 frozen bananas. I like to cut my bananas into 1 inch chunks before freezing. Process bananas, stopping to scrape down the sides of the bowl as necessary. Finally, add in your cookie dough and process until combined. You should have a soft serve type consistency when done. To make the blizzard simply stir in your desired amount of mini cookie dough balls, pour into a glass, and serve with a spoon. Makes 2 servings.

Her piglets are dead, already infested with maggots, and she could only watch. Unable to reach them, can you imagine her suffering? It is not healthy for you, it is not necessary but you want that moment. What about her? This is just a moment of the long days, years of suffering that you cause for a moment of taste on your palate.
